Moondyne Joe was not known for gunfights or robbing banks. It was the convict bushranger’s amazing ability to escape every time he was placed behind bars that won him fame and the affection of the early settlers.

In two free events for children, acclaimed Fremantle writer and history hunter Mark Greenwood will reveal the true story of one of the greatest escape artists of Australia’s convict era.

Sessions will take place 10.30am - 12.00pm on Thursday 8 and Friday 9 October and will include time for you to view the exhibition in the Prison Gallery.
