This album combines the talents and stories of a group of women who translated and recorded songs as a process to develop a program focusing upon Ngaanyatjarra literacy.

The women collaborated with educators, contributing their language skills and knowledge to design a creative writing program that offers Ngaanyatjarra speakers the opportunity to gain reading and writing skills in their own spoken language.

Songs share experiences about love, homeland and family.  The songs are messages to their communities and beyond.
